Competition procedure
The internationally advertised DEKRA Award competition identifies the winners in a two-stage process with its expert committee.
DEKRA invites experts from different disciplines. The applications are evaluated by about ten experts evaluate in the first round, and by a seven-member panel from politics and business in the second step. Both committees assess the applications within the three categories regarding their
- Effectiveness
- Efficiency / Simplicity
- Degree of innovation
- Sustainability
- Transferability and
- Acceptance
The most important requirement is that you have set a new, own quality standard.

The main objectives of the ILO are the promotion of decent work, social protection and the strengthening of social dialogue.
Boris Böhme - Head of Unit Technical Regulation and Standardization in ICT, Product Safety, Market Surveillance, Coordinator Global Project Quality Infrastructure, Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.

Beat Balzli - editor in chief of WirtschaftsWoche
Since April 2017, the Swiss journalist Beat Balzli is editor in chief of WirtschaftsWoche. He joined from the Welt-Group, where he was mainly responsible for “Welt am Sonntag”, as deputy editor in chief since 2013. Previously the graduate of economics and business management worked as editor in chief at the Swiss “Handelszeitung” for three years as well as many years as an editor at the news magazine “Der Spiegel”. Furthermore, at the Swiss “SonntagsZeitung” and the Swizz news magazine “Facts”. He has already won several prizes for his editorial work.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Raimund Klinkner - Managing Partner of Institute for Management Excellence GmbH
In 2012 founded the Institute for Management Exellence GmbH and has since contributed his experience to various industrial mandates, for example as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DMG MORI AG, Board Member of TEREX CORPORATION and Advisory Board Member of the EBM-PAPST GROUP. In addition to his industrial activities, Prof. Klinkner is honorary chairman of the Management Exellence Board, honorary chairman of the BUNDESVEREINIGUNG LOGISTIK e. V. (BVL) and Honorary Professor for Production Logistics at the TU BERLIN. From 2007 to 2011, Raimund Klinkner was Chairman of the Management Board of KNORR-BREMSE AG. Prior to this, he was Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Gildemeister AG.
Carlos Bhola, Managing Partner Celsius Capital
Celsius Capital is an investment company focused on companies in the technology, media and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Celsius Capital, Carlos Bhola was Global Head of Internet/Electronic Commerce Investment Banking at Credit Suisse First Boston, before leading Internet/Electronic Commerce and High Technology initiatives for Fortune Global 500 companies at the Boston Consulting Group.
Stan Zurkiewicz- Chairman of the DEKRA e.V and DEKRA SE Management Boards
Stan Zurkiewicz (* August 9, 1979 in Gdynia, Poland) is an accomplished and internationally experienced business leader and TIC industry expert. After several years as the organization’s Asia head, he assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at DEKRA Group in 2021. In April 2022, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Boards of DEKRA e.V. and DEKRA SE. Stan Zurkiewicz has been with DEKRA since 2009.
Yvonne Zwick - Chairwoman of the Board of B.A.U.M e.V. Network for Sustainable Management.
The graduate theologian has been chairwoman of B.A.U.M. e.V. since 2021. The association is committed to ensuring that professional sustainable management with resilient positive effects brings decisive competitive advantages. Previously, she held various positions in the office of the German Council for Sustainable Development since 2004, where she was responsible for sustainable consumption, sustainable management and the financial sector. Most recently, she was deputy secretary general and head of the office of the German Sustainability Code.
