The entry
A mailing campaign is to raise awareness of ladder accidents from a low height among all commercial employees with the aim of preventing these in future. Falls from a low height are responsible for 40% of all ladder accidents.
Jury's statement
The entry won the jury over in terms of creativity, simplicity, and effectiveness: the mailing consisted of a recreated medical file of a colleague’s real accident and provides information on the risk of accident depending on the height of the ladder. Since the campaign at the end of 2015/beginning of 2016, there have been no further ladder accidents in the company in the building technology and facility management sector.

The entry
The campaign addresses refugees, but also foreign students. At its heart is a smartphone app, which provides key tips on how to behave in street traffic in Germany, in nine languages.
Jury's statement
The app presents key safety issues, such as the traffic rules applicable in Germany, in a way that’s easy to understand. Participating in street traffic in a foreign country can be dangerous because of different mobility cultures Newcomers to Germany need guidance in dealing with traffic - in the interests of safety but also in the interests of effective integration. The DVR campaign achieves this in an exemplary manner and consequently convinced the jury.

The entry
Making children aware of the risk of accidents in their world and equipping them to provide first aid themselves. They then obtain the Pflasterpass in first aid - comparable with a “Seahorse” in swimming lessons.
Jury's statement
The jury was won over by the concept and results: following the course, children are capable, in line with their level of development, of reacting confidently and safely in emergency situations. Having said that, the benefits and effects of the courses, which can be held anywhere, go further: children’s awareness of the dangers of everyday life is raised in general.
