Master in Telecommunications, he has worked in different areas related to the definition of Communication services (MPLS, SDN networks…) and IT services (Cybersecurity and Cloud services) and is currently focused on Testing, Inspection and Certification services in the Cybersecurity field. He has been working in Telefónica for 13 years and joined DEKRA more than one year ago as Technical Sales Manager in the Cybersecurity Hub, where DEKRA provides security evaluations against the most relevant standards and certification schemes.

He serves as CTO and Director of Technology service in Onward Security and has more than 15 years of experience in penetration test, fuzzing test, IoT security, and mobile security. He is also certified by SSCP, GPEN, GWAPT, ECSA, and CEH. In 2014, Daniel joined the Onward Security and not only lead the team researching on cloud, IoT, mobile device, automotive, and ICS cybersecurity topic, but also building ISO 17025 accredited cybersecurity testing laboratory, which has been authorized by Amazon Alexa, ioXt, and CTIA certification program, to provide cybersecurity assessment and certification testing on network connected and IoT devices for Taiwan and global device manufacturers.

He focused most of his career on R&D areas from Automotive, Defence & Space and now fully deep dive into the medical industry. He has focused also on heavy regulated environments and understanding the necessity for resilient cybersecurity solutions.
Filippo Melzani
CTO & Co-founder in Security Pattern
Filippo received his engineering degree from Politecnico di Milano in 2005. From 2006 to 2017 he has worked in STMicroelectronics focusing on the hardware design of cryptographic algorithms and specializing in side-channel attacks and countermeasures. Since 2017 he is CTO and co-founder of Security Pattern.
He has developed a wide experience on building cryptographic components with different needs in terms of performance, footprint, security. He continuously investigates how security elements can be mixed in a system guaranteeing they are used at their best. He is a promoter of innovative formal methodologies to support the development and the evaluation of secure devices and systems.
He is co-author of 12 scientific publications, he joined several program committees of security-related workshops and conferences. He is the author of 4 registered patents in the field of secure cryptographic implementations.
