Measuring Technology and Driving Tests

Testing and Assessing Development

To tailor each development in optimal fashion, both the vehicle as a whole and driver assistant systems must be subjected to a large number of tests with precise measuring technology. They ultimately provide the decisive results in the overall development process.

In the standard test procedure, our DEKRA experts perform tests from a selection of different driving maneuvers, such as:
  • Stationary / non-stationary circular-course driving
  • Slalom
  • Lane change
  • Handling
  • Braking
  • Electronic stability program (ESP)
  • Maximum speed
  • Sinus steering
The partially simulated, partially practical driving tests at the DEKRA Technology Center at the in-house test site also allow the efficiency of drivers assistant systems to be tested in ADAS tests. These focus on assistant systems including
  • the lane-keeping/lane-change assist (LCA tests)
  • the emergency braking assist (EuroNCAP AEB tests)
  • the adaptive cruise control (ACC tests)
  • the pedestrian and cyclist assist (Euro NCAP tests for AEB VRU systems)
  • the turning assistant.
We then pass on our experience and results, which we determine using state-of-the-art mobile measuring and evaluation systems, to the development of a wide variety of workshop and service-related test equipment as well as to the development of assistant systems by the manufacturers themselves. Thus, our DEKRA experts make a key contribution to better active safety on the roads.

We are pleased that you are interested in our services related to the topic of measuring technology and driving tests. We will be happy to put together an individual offer for you. Because safety is of importance to both of us.
