Materiality Assessment Practitioner Training Course

Lay the Foundation for a Reliable Sustainability Strategy and Meaningful Sustainability Reporting

A materiality assessment is a foundational step in developing a corporate sustainability strategy and defining the scope of sustainability reporting. Under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), companies are required to adopt a double materiality assessment, considering both financial relevance and broader environmental and social impacts. This dual perspective raises the bar for materiality assessments and presents new challenges for many organizations. In this training, participants gain a solid understanding of the principles and types of materiality, with a focus on the CSRD’s double materiality requirements. They also learn how to tailor the assessment to frameworks such as SASB, where only financial or impact materiality may be relevant. Practical exercises and a case study support participants in applying the approach directly to their own reporting.
