When evacuating people from dangerous areas, every second and breath counts. Escape devices provide the necessary level of safety to bring a person into a safe environment quickly and reliably.
Our Services
We test your escape device according to the requirements of the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 so that it meets the highest safety standards.
Among others, DEKRA tests:
- Self-contained closed-circuit breathing apparatus for escape according to EN 13794
- Air-purifying apparatus with a hood according to EN 403
- Air-purifying self-rescuers with a mouthpiece assembly according to EN 404
- Chemical oxygen self-rescuers (KO2) according to EN 401
- Escape hoods according to DIN 58639 and EN 1146
- Compressed air breathing apparatus for escape purposes according to EN 14529 and EN 402
Our range of tests is supplemented by the following:
- Measurement of breathing gas temperature
- Measurement of the O2 and CO2 content in the inhaled air
- Performance when exposed to oxidizing substances
