Diving apparatus refers to particularly complex technical systems that must function reliably and safely at all times. In any kind of dive, especially those to great depths or specific conditions, the safety of the diver depends on high-quality and safe equipment and a reliable partner (buddy).
With extensive and long-term expertise in self-contained diving apparatus, open-circuit diving apparatus, rebreathers (CCRs) or snorkeling masks, DEKRA is your reliable expert when it comes to the testing and certification of diving apparatus and peripherals (such as dive computers).

- EU type - examination in accordance with Module B of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 of all diving apparatus types, such as self-contained underwater breathing apparatus (SCUBA) with open circuit according to EN 250, self-contained rebreathers according to EN 14143, compressed air line diving apparatus with open supply circuit according to EN 15333-1
- Testing of subassemblies (e.g. diving regulators and dive computers)
