Crash Tests for Accident Reconstruction

Accident Reconstruction on Behalf of Courts, Insurance Companies and Vehicle Manufacturers

How did the accident happen? What damage occurred and how? What triggered the accident? With the reconstruction of accidents on the site of our DEKRA Crash Test Center in Neumünster, these questions are examined to clarify the precise course of events surrounding the accident.
When it comes to accident reconstruction, DEKRA assumes the pioneer role. Since the formation in 1978, accident research has been part of the essence of our services; since 1981, our experts have reconstructed real accidents in staged crash tests. With the construction of the DEKRA Crash Test Center in 1991, a permanent test site was then available for the first time.
In the meantime it is no longer just the DEKRA experts, courts and insurance companies who are regular customers in Neumünster to reconstruct unexplained accidents in tests. But more and more vehicle manufacturers are using the many years of experience and expertise of the crash team in tricky product liability cases.
The following table shows some example tests that have been carried out at the DEKRA Crash Test Center to clarify the causes of accidents on behalf of courts or insurance companies. The real impact scenario is of course always the basis for tests.
