Anchor Device Testing and Certification

Testing According to Construction Product and PPE Regulations

Due to national legal regulations for construction products, permanently attached anchor devices require a general building approval (abZ/abG), which is issued exclusively by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt) in Berlin. As a DIBt-recognized testing laboratory, we carry out the required testing and prepare the relevant documentation for certification purposes. We also test according to the specifications of European Assessment Documents (EADs) for obtaining an ETA and according to EN 17235:2025.

Safety First

Permanently attached anchor devices require a general building approval (abZ/abG), an ETA, or proof of compliance with EN 17235.
As a DIBt-recognized testing institute and a certification body under the Building Code (NRW68), we carry out the required assessments and prepare test reports as a basis for approvals. We carry out the necessary certifications and tests for you in our testing laboratory based on the test specifications of the abZ/abG, the EAD, and EN 17235. We then prepare the test report, which forms the basis for issuing an abZ/abG, an ETA, or a certificate of constancy of performance according to the Construction Products Regulation (BauPVo).

Our Services

We test anchor devices of types A, C, and D for you, which are mounted on the following substrates, for example:
  • Standing seam roofs, profiled sheet roofs, sliding-bar roofs, sandwich roofs, trapezoidal roofs, bitumen roofs, and membrane roofs
  • Metal, wood, concrete, and stone
As an inspection and certification body under the Building Code (NRW68), DEKRA is authorized to perform the regular monitoring and inspections required by theabZ/abG.
