Partnerships in international handball

DEKRA as the Official Referee Partner of the International Handball Federation (IHF) and the European Handball Federation (EHF)

Since the beginning of 2025 DEKRA has been significantly present in international handball and is serving as the Official Referee Partner for numerous competitions. The long-term partnerships with both the IHF and the EHF include World and European Championships, as well as several club and national teams’ competitions.
Through these partnerships DEKRA will gain significant brand exposure through prominent logo placements on referee jerseys, LED boards and other venue branding opportunities (e.g. fair play announcement before the games). The partnership with the EHF also includes a range of sustainability services which the federation will commission from DEKRA.

In handball, the referees ensure that this happens; as a technical expert organization, this is our job when it comes to safety on the road, at work, and at home. The referees and DEKRA share the values of neutrality, expert knowledge, and accuracy. Furthermore, handball is a sport in which fair play is particularly highly valued.
