So that Goods Present No Danger
With its extensive test tracks, the DEKRA Technology Center, in cooperation with the branch in Bielefeld, offers comprehensive support in order to optimize vehicles as well as cargo-securing materials and methods, especially for standardized transportation tasks. To this end, we are equipped with a universal testing machine for testing sliding tarpaulins and components pursuant to DIN EN 12641-2, with special test equipment for cargo securing and a servo-hydraulic test system for testing load securing straps. In addition, these systems offer the opportunity to test cover, dividing, and cargo-securing nets pursuant to VDI 2700 Sheet 3.3.
Alternatively to the static tests performed by us, the test program of DIN EN 12642 for vehicles bodies pursuant to Code L and XL, which is tailored to the requirements of road traffic, includes brake tests, rotary intersection entry and exit maneuvers, as well as a lane-changing test. The cargo securing measures are tested in a longitudinal and sideways direction. We can perform these dynamic tests for vehicle bodies on site at the customer’s premises with the support of the branches, at our test site in Klettwitz, or at the DEKRA Crash Test Center in Neumünster. The findings from these tests provide our DEKRA experts in accident analysis with valuable information on cargo securing, from which forwarding companies, associations, loaders, and body manufacturers subsequently benefit.
We are pleased that you are interested in our services for passive vehicle safety. We will be happy to put together an individual offer for you. Because safety is of importance to both of us.
