Following the footsteps of Vettel, Schumacher & Co.

DEKRA in ADAC Formula 4

Moving from a kart to a Formula racing car is a big step. But thanks to series partners like DEKRA, the young talents can gain their first experience in ADAC Formula 4. This means that the stars of tomorrow already have the very best prerequisites today.

Formula 4

DEKRA has supported ADAC Formula 4 from the beginning and has been an official series partner since 2015. Proudly the expert organization presents the start numbers on the vehicles with its logo.

The young drivers receive excellent basic training in ADAC Formula 4 and in the meantime the first young drivers from ADAC Formula 4, such as Lando Norris or Mick Schumacher, have also arrived in Formula 1.

Second-generation racers have also made headlines in ADAC Formula 4: DEKRA brand ambassador David Schumacher, son of Grand Prix winner Ralf Schumacher, took the rookie title in ADAC Formula 4 in 2018 and thus made the leap into the international Formula 3 Championship and the DTM. And his cousin Mick Schumacher, son of seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Michael Schumacher, also finished second in ADAC Formula 4 in 2016, laying the foundation for promotion to the premier class in 2021.

The drivers receive an ample amount of track time in ADAC Formula 4 and compete in three half-hour races per event, in order to acquire as much driving experience as possible in their 160 hp-strong identical cars.

The 1.4 liter turbo engine from Abarth accelerates the vehicles to up to 210 km/h, while the Tatuus chassis offers the drivers the greatest possible safety in accordance with the high requirements of the world automobile association, the FIA.

And all this at the most important racetracks in Germany and the neighboring countries within the framework of the ADAC GT Masters. One could hardly wish for a better entry into Formula racing.
