Málaga, July 2017 – DEKRA’s LoRa Alliance authorized test houses can now perform testing and certification services for South Korean products which work in the ISM band KR920, under the LoRaWANTM certification program. 
 

The DEKRA LoRa Alliance authorized test houses in Málaga (Spain), Tokyo (Japan), Taipei (Taiwan) and Herndon (Virginia, USA) have extended their testing scope with the new South Korea ISM band KR920. This completes the certification testing portfolio, which already includes, radio frequency bands such as EU868 (Europe) and US915 (USA).

LoRaWAN™ (Long Range Wide Area Network) is a Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) specification intended for wireless battery operated devices in a regional, national or global network. LoRaWAN targets requirements of the Internet of Things such as secure bi-directional communication, mobility and localization services. LoRaWAN has been specified and promoted by the LoRa Alliance, a non-profit organization. The associated certification program is aimed at achieving seamless interoperability of devices connected to a LoRaWAN network all over the world.
