car passes through various stages of the process.
New standards in safety are set by
Safetyplus. Safetyplus is the first safety
certificate for both vans and their drivers and consists of the components
Safetyplus VEHICLE and Safetyplus DRIVER.

Pooling knowledge – utilising synergies.
We have pooled our accident know-how resources so that our customers in the automotive
industry can derive even more eff ective benefit from our expert knowledge.
The DEKRA Competence Centre consolidates the findings of the DEKRA Crash Test
Centre in Neumünster, the DEKRA Technology Centre based in Klettwitz and

with the most advanced testing technology, which ensures that our customers benefit
from our expert knowledge in concentrated form. The findings compiled from countless
crash tests can now immediately flow into the product development of vehicle manufacturers
and system suppliers.
The future belongs to those who think one step ahead.
The developments in the automotive industry relating to
alternative drive concepts can no longer be ignored. Rising fuel prices
are making natural gas and hybrid-powered vehicles increasingly interesting propositions.

drive concepts are concerned, private and commercial customers always have a competent
partner in DEKRA.
How expertise and commitment save lives.
The charter for road traffic safety is a campaign launched by the EU that seeks
to halve the number of accident victims in Europe by
2010. Appeals made to all road users to act responsibly, combined with the
expansion of the road infrastructure, are intended to
achieve this goal. Along with numerous European associations, municipalities
and car manufacturers, DEKRA was one of the first to sign the charter and
commit itself to initiating a draft of measures.
These include, for example, the “Safety requires brains” campaign,
the technical paper entitled “Technical safety on the road and international
strategies
to avoid accidents”, the “Safe Bus Operation”
certificate and the development of collision avoidance systems.
